einjährige, krautige Pflanze bis zu 2 m mit wechselständig angeordneten, gestielten, eiförmigen, am Rand gewellten, tiefgrünen Blättern und kleinen, gelben Blüten, gefolgt von eßbaren, schwarzen, süßen Beeren, ähnlich den Heidelbeeren. Diese Art ist der Jaltomata procumbens sehr ähnlich und scheint eine Variante davon zu sein.
Nur die reifen, schwarzen Früchte verzehren!
