einjährige, krautige Pflanze bis ca. 1 m mit faserförmigen Wurzeln und gegenständig angeordneten, bis zu 9 cm langen, länglich breit ovalen, behaarten, tiefgrünen Blättern. Die ca. 5 cm großen, leuchtend gelben, 5-petaligen Blüten mit 5 Kelchblättern und roten Drüsen an den Staubblättern erscheinen in den Blattachseln
