immergrüner Baum bis ca. 35 m (in Kultur bis ca. 10 m) mit pyramidenförmiger oder runder Krone und wechselständig angeordneten, bis zu 20 cm langen und 6 cm breiten, länglich ovalen, elliptischen oder auch lanzettlichen, glatten oder zart behaarten, mittel- bis tiefgrünen Blättern. Die duftenden, grünlichen oder auch weissen Blüten erscheinen in den Blattachseln, gefolgt von bis zu 10 cm langen, eiförmigen, elliptischen oder rundlichen, bei Reife gelben, wohlschmeckenden Früchten

Sowing Mix: Coir or sowing mix + sand or perlite
Alternative: in a zip bag with damp coir or vermiculite with heat source > until germination takes place
Germination Temperature: ca. 25-28°C
Location: bright + keep constantly moist, not wet
Germination Time: ca. 2-6 weeks > irregular - seeds with coat ca. 3-4 months
Irrigation: in the growing season richly water
Fertilization: biweekly 0,2%ig or long-term fertilizer
Pests: Spider mites > especially under glass
Substrate: potting soil + sand or perlite
Culture: bright at approx. 15-20ºC + keep slightly moist
Overwintering: Older specimens bright at approx. 10-15°C, and according to ambient temperature just so much water that the root ball not dries out completely.
