caudexbildender Ranker bis zu 2 m mit gegenständig angeordneten, herzförmigen, glänzend tiefgrünen Blättern mit langgezogener Spitze und kleinen, sternförmigen, gelben Blüten in langen hängenden Rispen. Im Alter sieht die Oberfläche des Caudex einem Berg wie mit einer Elefantenhaut überzogen, ähnlich!
