laubabwerfender, verholzender Ranker mit wechselständig angeordneten, langgestielten, bis zu 30 cm langen, fast runden, glänzend tiefgrünen Blättern und zahlreichen weißen Blüten in hängenden Rispen. Aus den Blüten entwickeln sich nicht eßbare bei Reife orangefarbene Früchte in Büscheln, die die Größe einer Grapefrucht erreichen
