schnellwüchsiger, hoher, ausladender Baum bis zu 45 m (in Kultur meist nur bis zu 12 m) mit langgestielten, breit herzförmigen, tiefgrünen, am Rand gesägten Blättern und auffälliger Nervatur. Die kurzgestielten, 5-petaligen, gelblich-weißen oder zartrosafarbenen Blüten erscheinen direkt am Holz von Stamm und Ästen, gefolgt von runden bis elliptischen, großen eßbaren Früchten mit orangefarbenem, schmackhaftem, süßen Fruchtfleisch

Overwintering:	Ältere Exemplare hell bei ca. 15-20ºC und der Umgebungstemperatur entsprechend soviel gießen, daß der Wurzelballen nicht austrocknet. Gelegentlich mit kalkfreiem, angewärmtem Wasser besprühen, um eine höhere Luftfeuchtigkeit zu erzielen.
Note:	Zimmerkultur mit entsprechend hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit und Licht ist möglich!
