immergrüner, wenig verzweigter Strauch mit gegenständig oder wirtelig angeordneten, bis zu 60 cm langen und 40 cm breiten, breit- oder verkehrt eiförmigen, ledrigen, oberseits glänzend tiefgrünen, unterseits helleren Blättern mit auffälliger Nervatur auf dicken behaarten Blattstielen . Die großen, wachsartigen, rosafarbenen Blüten erscheinen Büscheln in den Blattachseln. Aus den Blüten entwickeln sich eßbare rosa Früchte mit süßem Fruchtfleisch.

Sowing Time: all year round
Sowing Deep: Light germinator! Only sprinkle on the surface of the substrate + slightly press on
Sowing Mix: Coir+ sand or perlite or orchid mix
Germination Temperature: ca. 25°C > irregular
Location: bright + keep constantly moist, not wet
Germination Time: until germination takes place
Irrigation: in the growing season regularly water + always free of lime with room temperature water
Fertilization: monthly 0,2%ig or long-term fertilizer
Pests: Scale insects, Mealy bugs, Spider mites > especially under glass
Substrate: slightly acid, humus substrate (pH 5.5 6.5) + sand or perlite
Culture: bright at approx. 20°C + keep constant slightly moist
Overwintering: Older specimens bright with at least 15-20°C, and to water with warm rain water only so much that the root ball not dries out completely, and to spray daily. From November to spring the location may be sunny, in the remaining time, partial shade.
Note: Indoor suitable!
