immergrüner, kleiner bis mittelgroßer Baum bis ca. 17 m mit ausladender, schirmförmiger Krone und wechselständig angeordneten, bis zu 30 cm langen, gefiederten Blättern, bestehend aus bis zu 12 elliptischen, oberseits glänzend tiefgrünen, gegenständig angeordneten Blättchen. Die nachts blühenden, duftenden, röhrenförmigen, grünlich-gelben Blüten mit weißen, weit herausragenden Staubfäden erscheinen in Gruppen am Ende der Zweige oder auch einzeln in den oberen Blattachseln, gefolgt von bis zu 20 cm langen Hülsen, die eßbares, cremiges Fruchtfleisch, enthalten

Overwintering:

Older specimens bright at about 10-15ºC and and according to the ambient temperature only so much water, that a slight bale moisture is maintained.
