immergrüne, mehrjährige, rhizombildende Staude bis zu 60 cm mit fächerförmig angeordneten, langgestielten, ledrigen, glänzend tiefgrünen Blättern. Die leuchtend gelben Blüten entwickeln sich aus den Blattscheiden, die von einem etwas kleinerem, kahnförmigen, grünen bis rot-violetten Hochblatt getragen werden

Fertilization: biweekly 0,2%ig or long-term fertilizer
Pests: Spider mites, Scale insects > especially under glass
Substrate: potting soil + sand or perlite
Culture: bright at approx. 10-15°C + keep constantly moist
Overwintering: Older specimens bright at about 5-10°C and according to ambient temperature in larger intervals and only water in small quantities that the root ball not dries out completely.
Note: Indoor culture is possible with high humidity and light!
