immergrüner, vielverzweigter Baum mit ausladender Krone und wechselständig angeordneten, bis zu 12 cm langen und 4 cm breiten elliptischen bis lanzettlichen, oberseits glänzend tiefgrünen, unterseits helleren Blättern. Die gestielten grün-gelblichen Blüten erscheinen in den Blattachseln, denen eßbare, eiförmige, bei Reife strahlend rote Beerenfrüchten in kleinen Büscheln folgen.
Das Foto zeigt Polyalthia longifolia, die der Polyalthia littoralis sehr ähnlich ist!
