laubabwerfender, zweihäusiger Baum bis ca. 15 m mit ausladender Krone und wechselständig angeordneten, bis zu 30 cm langen, gefiederten Blättern, bestehend aus hängenden, bis zu 15 paarig angeordneten, ca. 7,5 cm langen, lanzettlichen, ledrigen, glänzend mittelgrünen Blättchen und schöner, strahlend gelber Herbstfärbung. Die kleinen, gelblich-weißen bis grünlich-weißen Blüten erscheinen in bis zu 25 cm langen, endständigen, dichten Rispen, gefolgt von orangefarbenen, fleischigen Steinfrüchten in weintraubenähnlichen Büscheln

Pre-Treatment: scarify/roughen + soak ca. 24-48 h in lukewarm water
Stratification: ca. 1-2 months in moist sowing mix at 0-5°C in the fridge or unheated greenhouse
Sowing Time: all year round
Sowing Deep: ca. 1 cm
Sowing Mix: Coir or sowing mix + sand or perlite
Germination Temperature: ca. 18-20°C
Location: bright + keep constantly moist, not wet
Germination Time: until germination takes place
Irrigation: in the growing season regularly water
Fertilization: monthly 0,2%ig or long-term fertilizer
Pests: Spider mites > especially under glass
Substrate: potting soil + 1/3 sand + 1/3 gravel or perlite
Culture: im 1.+2. year bright or dark at approx. 0-5ºC in unheated greenhouse + keep constant slightly moist
Overwintering: After this time period, older specimens due to the cold tolerance can be planted in mild regions in a sheltered, sunny position outdoors. In unfavorable positions, winter protection is recommended.
Note: drought-tolerant!
