Over many years, we have had the pleasure of accompanying you on your gardening journey with exotic seed rarities and plants from around the world. Watching things grow together has brought us great joy. But every project has its time—and for us, the moment has come to step back. Due to health reasons, it is with a heavy heart that we have decided to permanently close the sunshine-seeds.de online shop and enter our well-deserved retirement. This decision was not an easy one for us. However, our health now requires our full attention. We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your many years of loyalty, the trust you have placed in us, and your enthusiasm for our green rarities! Important information regarding the shop closure:

schnellwüchsige, aufrechte, horstbildende Staude mit bambusartigen, holzigen bis zu 5 cm dicken und bis zu 4 m hohen (in Kübelkultur bis ca. 2,5 m) aufrechten Halmen, umringt von auffälligen, je nach Varietät mit grünen, braunen, roten oder violettfarbenen Internodien und sattgrünen, aromatischen, scharfkantigen Blättern mit dicker Mittelrippe. Die endständigen, bis zu 1 m hohen Blütenrispen mit kleinen herabhängenden, gefiederten, silbrig-violettfarbenen Blüten werden mit zunehmendem Alter weißlich und erscheinen auf mehrere Metern hohen Stengeln

Sowing Instruction
Propagation: Seeds/Cuttings/Division
Sowing Time: all year round
Sowing Deep: Light germinator! Only sprinkle on the surface of the substrate + slightly press on
Sowing Mix: Coir or sowing mix + sand or perlite
Germination Temperature: ca. 25°C+
Location: bright + keep constantly moist, not wet
Germination Time: ca. 3-4 weeks
Irrigation: in the growing season richly water
Fertilization: weekly 0,2%ig or long-term fertilizer
Pests: Spider mites > especially under glass
Substrate: potting soil + sand or perlite
Culture: hell bei mind. 25-30°C + konstant feucht halten
Overwintering: Ältere Exemplare hell bei mind. 15-20°C und konstant leicht feucht halten, bevorzugt mit angewärmtem Regenwasser gießen. Bei kühleren Temperaturen sterben die Halme ab und treiben im Frühjahr wieder aus.
Note: Halme zur Ernte abschneiden und beschädigte Halme entfernen
