immergrüner, verholzender Ranker bis zu 15 m mit wechselständig angeordneten, breit ovalen, ledrigen, oberseits glänzend tiefgrünen Blättern. Die ca. 2 cm großen, gelblich-grünen Blüten erscheinen in überhängenden, verzweigten Rispen in den Blattachseln, denen rundliche, dicke, bei Reife gelbe Früchte folgen. Große Samen! Schmetterlingspflanze für Urania!
