laubabwerfender, halb-sukkulenter, dorniger Strauch oder kleiner Baum bis zu 5 m mit geschwollenem Stamm und wechselständig angeordneten, langgestielten Blättern, die sich aus 3 fächerförmigen, grau-grünen Blättchen zusammensetzen. Die röhrenförmigen, strahlend roten Blüten erscheinen in dichten, endständigen Büscheln am Ende der Triebe am meist laublosen Holz

Sowing Mix: Coir or sowing mix + sand or perlite
Germination Temperature: ca. 25°C+
Location: bright + keep constantly moist, not wet
Germination Time: ca. 2-4 weeks
Irrigation: in the growing season moderate water
Fertilization: biweekly 0,2%ig or long-term fertilizer
Pests: Spider mites > especially under glass
Substrate: potting soil + 2/3 sand or perlite
Culture: hell + bei mind. 15ºC halten, bis sich erstes Holz gebildet hat + sollten nur tröpfchenweise gegossen werden
Overwintering: Ältere Exemplare hell oder dunkel bei ca. 5-10ºC und bis zum Austrieb im Frühjahr absolut trocken halten.
