immergrüner Strauch oder kleiner Baum und kurzgestielten, am Ende der Zweige quirlig angeordneten, glänzend tiefgrünen Blättern. Die großen weißen Blüten mit sternförmig angeordneten Petalen erscheinen am Zweigende und verströmen nachts einen intenisven Duft, gefolgt von holzigen, eiförmigen, bei Reife graubraun warzigen Früchten
