mehrjähriger, vielverzweigter, dorniger, kleiner Strauch bis zu 0,5 cm mit wechselständig angeordneten, grau-grünen, am Rand gewellten Blättern mit gelblich-grün besetzten Haaren mit dorniger Mittelrippe. Die purpurfarbenen Blüten erscheinen in den Blattachseln, denen bei Reife strahlend orangefarbene Beerenfrüchte folgen
