laubabwerfender, ausladender Baum bis zu 15 m mit rundlicher Krone, kurzem, dick korkigem Stamm und wechselständig angeordneten, langgestielten, tiefgrünen Blättern, bestehend aus 2 gegenständig bis zu 15 cm langen und 14 cm breiten, fast herzförmigen oder rhombischen Blättchen und einem endständigen, etwas größerem Blatt. Der Neuaustrieb ist wollig behaart. Die orange-roten Blüten erscheinen in dichten Rispen am Ende der Triebe am meist unbelaubten Holz

Sowing Mix: Coir or sowing mix + sand or perlite
Germination Temperature: ca. 25°C+
Location: bright + keep constantly moist, not wet
Germination Time: ca. 2-4 weeks

Fertilization: biweekly 0,2%ig or long-term fertilizer
Pests: Spider mites > especially under glass
Substrate: slightly acid substrat + sand or perlite
Culture: in the 1st year keep bright at least 15ºC, until first wood has formed + should be watered only drop by drop
Overwintering: Older specimens with thick rootstock bright or dark at least 10-15ºC and keep dry during the leafless time.
