Dear plant and garden enthusiasts,
Over many years, we have had the pleasure of accompanying you on your gardening journey with exotic seed rarities and plants from around the world. Watching things grow together has brought us great joy. But every project has its time—and for us, the moment has come to step back. Due to health reasons, it is with a heavy heart that we have decided to permanently close the sunshine-seeds.de online shop and enter our well-deserved retirement. This decision was not an easy one for us. However, our health now requires our full attention. We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your many years of loyalty, the trust you have placed in us, and your enthusiasm for our green rarities! Important information regarding the shop closure:
Our shop will remain open until September 30, 2026.
The last day to place an order is September 25, 2026. Please feel free to use this time to secure your favorite seeds one last time.
Processing: All paid orders received by September 25, 2026, will, of course, be processed, packed, and shipped reliably as usual.

immergrüner Strauch oder kleiner Baum von 9 m, je nach Höhenlage auch nur 4-5 Meter mit glatter, grau-bauner Rinde, wechselständig angeordneten, kurzgestielten, ledrigen, ca. 10 cm langen und bis zu 4,5 cm breiten eiförmig bis verkehrt-eiförmig oder elliptisch zugespitzen Blättern, oberseits glänzend tiefgrün, unterseits heller und mit fein gesägten Blatträndern. Die becherförmigen, grünlich-gelben Blüten erscheinen in kleinen Büscheln in den Blattachseln. Aus den Blüten entwickeln sich eßbare, erbsengroße, beerenartige, leuchtend rote, bei Reife violett-schwarze Steinfrüchte
Verwendung: Früchte werden roh verzehrt, Blätter als anregendes Aroma in Bier, Stängel als Hopfenersatz bei der Bierherstellung, Abkochung der Wurzel als Blutreiniger, zur Behandlung von Lungenentzündung, Tripper, Rheuma und Magenschmerzen sowie zum Gurgeln eingenommen. Blattsud kann mit der Rinde von Erythrina abyssinica gemischt werden, um Koliken zu lindern. Die Blätter werden als Einreibemittel bei einfachen Verstauchungen angewendet. Blüten sind eine gute Nektarquelle für Bienen
