Dear plant and garden enthusiasts,
Over many years, we have had the pleasure of accompanying you on your gardening journey with exotic seed rarities and plants from around the world. Watching things grow together has brought us great joy. But every project has its time—and for us, the moment has come to step back. Due to health reasons, it is with a heavy heart that we have decided to permanently close the sunshine-seeds.de online shop and enter our well-deserved retirement. This decision was not an easy one for us. However, our health now requires our full attention. We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your many years of loyalty, the trust you have placed in us, and your enthusiasm for our green rarities! Important information regarding the shop closure:
Our shop will remain open until September 30, 2026.
The last day to place an order is September 25, 2026. Please feel free to use this time to secure your favorite seeds one last time.
Processing: All paid orders received by September 25, 2026, will, of course, be processed, packed, and shipped reliably as usual.

laubabwerfender Baum bis zu 16 m (selten bis zu 40 m) mit etagenförmigen, waagerechten Zweigen und wechselständig oder auch quirlig an den Zweigenden angeordneten bis zu 30 cm langen und 25 cm breiten, länglich ovalen, tiefgrünen Blättern. Die kleinen, weiß-cremefarbenen Blüten sitzen in bis zu 25 cm langen dichten Ähren in den oberen Blattachseln, gefolgt von mandelförmigen, grünen, bei Reife braun-violetten Früchten, die eßbare Nüsse enthalten

Pre-Treatment: remove bast fibre (if present) + scratched with a sharp knife or roughen with sandpaper + soak about 2-3 days in lukewarm water
Stratification: ca. 3-4 months in moist sowing mix at 2-5°C in the fridge or unheated greenhouse

Sowing Deep: ca. 2-3 cm
Sowing Mix: Coir or sowing mix + sand or perlite
Germination Temperature: ca. 25-30°C
Location: bright + keep constantly moist, not wet
