kleiner, immergrüner, unverzweigter bis wenig verzweigter Baum mit langgestielten, bis zu 1 m großen, aufrechten, ovalen, an der Basis herzförmigen, tiefgrünen Blättern mit auffällig, hervortretender Nervatur und achselständigen, weißen oder auch strahlend roten, ca. 3 cm großen, röhrenförmigen, 5-petaligen Blüten in Büscheln, gefolgt von bis zu 8 cm großen, eßbaren, süßen Früchten in Trauben
