laubabwerfender, hoher Strauch oder offenkroniger Baum bis zu 15 m und wechselständig angeordneten, ca. 30 cm langen, unpaarig gefiederten Blättern, bestehend aus bis zu 15 gegenständig angeordneten, ca. 11 cm langen und 3,5 cm breiten, eiförmig-lanzettlichen bis schmall elliptisch-lanzettlichen Fiederblättchen mit gesägten Blatträndern und einem bis zu 3,5 cm langen, endständigen Blatt. Die Blüten erscheinen am Ende der Triebe und setzen sich aus bis zu 8 cm langen, männlichen, aufrechten Kätzchen und ca. 3 cm langen weiblichen, zapfenähnlichen Kätzchen. Aus den Blüten entwickeln sich bis zu 5 cm lange, zapfenähnlichen Fruchtstände
