Die bis zu 3,5 cm ø großen, schalenförmigen, leicht nickenden, strahlend gelben Blüten mit goldgelben Staubblättern im Zentrum erscheinen an bis zu 5 cm langen Stielen in den Blattachseln

Stratification: ca. 4-6 weeks in moist sowing mix at 2-5°C in the fridge or unheated greenhouse
Sowing Time: all year round > late winter/spring preferred
Sowing Deep: Light germinator! Only sprinkle on the surface of the substrate + slightly press on
Sowing Mix: Coir or sowing mix + sand or perlite
Germination Temperature: ca. 10-20°C
Location: bright + keep constant slightly moist, not wet
Germination Time: until germination takes place
Irrigation: in the growing season moderate water
Fertilization: monthly 0,2%ig or long-term fertilizer
Pests: Snails, Powdery mildew
Substrate: slightly acid potting soil or Rhododendron substrate + 2/3 sand or perlite
Culture: hell bei ca. 5-10°C + konstant leicht feucht halten
Overwintering: Ältere Exemplare können an einem windgeschützten, halbschattigen Standort ins Freiland gepflanzt werden. Knospen in den ersten 2 Jahren entfernen, damit die Pflanzen schneller kräftiger werden, ansonsten können die Pflanzen nach der Blüte absterben.
