caudexbildende, laubabwerfende, sukkulente, kleine Pflanze mit rosettenförmig angeordneten, fleischigen, breit lanzettlichen, oberseits glänzend tiefgrünen, unterseits helleren Blättern mit gekerbten Blatträndern. Die kleinen, bizarren, purpurfarbenen Scheinblüten erscheinen auf langen Stielen in den Blattachseln
