laubabwerfender Baum bis ca. 15 m mit wechselständig angeordneten, großen, länglich ovalen bis elliptischen, tiefgrünen Blättern mit ausgeprägter Nervatur und leicht gesägten Blatträndern. Die gestielten, kugelförmigen, kleinen creme-weißen Blüten erscheinen in den Blattachseln. Aus den Blüten entwickeln sich interessant skurrile Früchte
