mehrstämmiger, stark bedornter Strauch oder kleiner Baum bis zu 5 m mit runder Krone (junge Zweige mit klebrigen Drüsen besetzt) und wechelständig aneordneten gefiederten Blättern, zusammengesetzt aus 5-15 paarig angeordneten, tiefgrünen Blättchen. Die leuchtend gelben Blütenbälle erscheinen in den Blattachseln
