immergrüner Baum bis zu 15 m mit wechselständig angeordneten, gefiederten Blättern, die sich aus bis zu 23 unpaarig angeordneten, ca. 25 cm langen, länglich-elliptischen, tiefgrünen Blättchen, mit ausgeprägter Nervatur und einem endständigen Blatt zusammensetzen. Die aufrechten Rispen mit zahlreichen lila- oder rosafarbenen Blüten und roter Äderung erscheinen in am Ende der Triebe
