caudexbildender, laubabwerfender, krautiger Ranker bis zu 5 m mit fleischigen Zweigen und leicht sukkulenten Blättern, die sich aus 3 bis 5 gegenständig angeordneten, tiefgrünen Blättchen mit gewellten Blatträndern zusammensetzen. Aus den grünlich-gelben Blüten entwickeln sich kleine, bei Reife rote Früchte
