immergrüner, kleiner, bestachelter Strauch bis zu 3 m mit bis zu 2,4 cm langen, und 0,7 cm breiten, sukkulenten, tiefgrünen Blättern, die gehäuft am Ende der Triebe erscheinen. Die becherförmigen, weißen, violett geaderten Blüten mit röhrenförmigem Kelch und herausragenden Staubfäden erscheinen am Ende der Triebe, gefolgt von bis zu 1 cm langen und 1 cm breiten, breit ei- oder kugelförmigen, bei Reife roten Beeren

Culture: bright at approx. 15-20°C + keep constantly moist
Overwintering: Older specimens bright at approx. 10-15°C and according to ambient temperature keep slightly moist always.
