immergrüne, rhizombildende Staude bis ca. 2,5 m mit wechselständig, spiralförmig angeordneten, beidseitig flaumig behaarten, bis zu 35 cm langen und 8 cm breiten oval-lanzettlichen, glänzend tiefgrünen Blättern und aufrechten zapfenartigen, eiförmigen bis zylindrischen, bis zu 12 cm langen Blütenständen an den Triebenden, bestehend aus zahlreichen, roten Brakteen, die je 1 röhrenförmige, gelbe Blüte (Labellum) umschließen

Germination Temperature: ca. 25-28°C
Location: bright + keep constantly moist, not wet
Germination Time: ca. 3-6 weeks
Irrigation: in the growing season richly water
Fertilization: biweekly 0,2%ig or long-term fertilizer
Pests: Spider mites > especially under glass
Substrate: potting soil + sand or perlite
Culture: hell bei ca. 20-25°C + konstant feucht halten + hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit
Overwintering: Older specimens bright with at least 18-20°C, and water only so much that the root ball not dries out completely, and to spray daily.
Note: Zimmerkultur mit entsprechend hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit und Licht ist möglich!
