immergrüner oder auch laubabwerfender, buschiger, oftmals kriechender Strauch bis ca. 3 m mit gegenständig angeordneten, bis zu 20 cm langen, unpaarig gefiederten Blättern, bestehend aus paarig angeordneten, bis zu 7,5 langen und 3,5 cm breiten, tiefgrünen Blättchen mit gesägten Blatträndern und einem endständigen Blatt. Die bis zu 5 cm langen, röhrenförmigen, strahlend rosig-orangefarbenen Blüten mit weit herausragenden Staubfäden erscheinen in endständigen Büscheln
