Hooker’s Anchomanes
Synonyme: Pythonium hookeri

mehrjährige, laubabwerfende, rhizombildende Staude mit tief gelappten, regenschirmförmig angeordneten, tiefgrünen Blättern an bis zu 1,8 m hohen, stark bedornten. leicht violett und grünen Balttstielen. Der Blütenstand erscheint meist in der laublosen Zeit mit einem herausragenden, weichen, purpurfarbenen Spadix (Blütenkolben) und einer bis zu 22 cm langen und 5 cm breiten innen und außen lilafarben oder grünlich, lila getönten, bootförmigen Spatha (Hüllblatt).
