immergrüner, kleiner Strauch bis zu 3 m mit gegenständig angeordneten, lanzettlichen, oberseits glänzend, tiefgrünen Blättern bis ca. 10 cm Länge mit heller Mittelrippe. Die bis zu 8 cm großen, wachsartigen, weißen Blüten mit windmühlenförmig angeordneten Petalen erscheinen in den Blattachseln und verströmen einen intensiven Duft
