immergrüne, konische Konifere bis ca. 2 m (am Naturstandort bis ca. 65 m) mit grau-brauner Rinde und etagenförmig angeordneten, leicht überhängenden Zweigen (im Jugendstadium waagrecht angeordneten), Stamm und Zweige sind mit feinen, bis zu 1,2 cm langen, hellgrünen Nadeln bedeckt
