immergrüner, mehrstämmiger, dichtbelaubter Strauch bis zu 2 m mit bis zu 5,5 cm länglich elliptischen, sattgrünen Blättern. Die kleinen, weißen Blüten erscheinen in zahlreichen 4-7 blütigen Büscheln zwischen den leuchtend rot bis pink gefärbten Blättern, die sich nur am Ende der Triebe verfärben
