Dear plant and garden enthusiasts,
Over many years, we have had the pleasure of accompanying you on your gardening journey with exotic seed rarities and plants from around the world. Watching things grow together has brought us great joy. But every project has its time—and for us, the moment has come to step back. Due to health reasons, it is with a heavy heart that we have decided to permanently close the sunshine-seeds.de online shop and enter our well-deserved retirement. This decision was not an easy one for us. However, our health now requires our full attention. We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your many years of loyalty, the trust you have placed in us, and your enthusiasm for our green rarities! Cornus kousa var. chinensis

Chinesischer Blütenhartriegel, Chinese Kousa Dogwood

langsamwüchsiger, laubabwerfender, konischer kleiner Baum bis zu 7 m mit gegenständig angeordneten, bis zu 8 cm langen, ovalen, oberseits tiefgrünen, unterseits bläulich-grünen Blättern mit glattem Rand und karminroter Herbstfärbung. Die zahlreichen grünen Blüten erscheinen in Dolden, umgeben von 4 creme-weißen Hochblättern und erscheinen am Ende der Zweige. Aus den Blüten entwickeln sich eßbare, erdbeerähnliche, fleischige, bei Reife rote Früchte

Stratification:	ca. 2-4 months in moist sowing mix at 2-5°C in the fridge or unheated greenhouse
Sowing Time:	all year round > fall/winter preferred
Sowing Deep:	ca. 1 cm
Sowing Mix:	Coir or sowing mix + sand or perlite
Alternative:	in fall/winter sowing in coldframe or unheated greenhouse
Germination Temperature:	ca. 18-20°C
Location:	bright + keep constantly moist, not wet
Germination Time:	until germination takes place
Irrigation:	in the growing season regularly water
Fertilization:	biweekly 0,2%ig or long-term fertilizer
Pests:	Spider mites > especially under glass
Substrate:	slightly acid substrate (pH 5,5 - 6,5) + sand or perlite
