Over many years, we have had the pleasure of accompanying you on your gardening journey with exotic seed rarities and plants from around the world. Watching things grow together has brought us great joy. But every project has its time—and for us, the moment has come to step back. Due to health reasons, it is with a heavy heart that we have decided to permanently close the sunshine-seeds.de online shop and enter our well-deserved retirement. This decision was not an easy one for us. However, our health now requires our full attention. We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your many years of loyalty, the trust you have placed in us, and your enthusiasm for our green rarities! immergrüne, rhizombildende Staude bis ca. 1,5 m mit auffällig rot-braun gestreiften, bambusähnlichen Stengeln und wechselständig, spiralig angeordneten, lanzettlichen bis linealischen, tiefgrünen Blättern. Die basalen, kegelförmigen Blütenstände, bestehen aus strahlend roten Brakteen und leuchtend gelben Blüten

Sowing Instruction
Propagation:	Seeds/Division/Stem cuttings
Pre-Treatment:	soak ca. 24-48 h in lukewarm water
Sowing Time:	all year round > only fresh seeds germinate reliably
Sowing Deep:	ca. 0,5 cm
Sowing Mix:	Coir or sowing mix + sand or perlite
Germination Temperature:	ca. 25-28°C
Location:	bright + keep constantly moist, not wet
Germination Time:	ca. 3-6 weeks
Irrigation:	in the growing season regularly water
Fertilization:	biweekly 0,2%ig or long-term fertilizer

Culture:	bright at approx. 20-25°C + keep constantly moist + high humidity
Overwintering:	Older specimens bright at approx. 15-20°C and according to ambient temperature just so much water that the root ball not dries out completely.
