Dear plant and garden enthusiasts,
Over many years, we have had the pleasure of accompanying you on your gardening journey with exotic seed rarities and plants from around the world. Watching things grow together has brought us great joy. But every project has its time—and for us, the moment has come to step back. Due to health reasons, it is with a heavy heart that we have decided to permanently close the sunshine-seeds.de online shop and enter our well-deserved retirement. This decision was not an easy one for us. However, our health now requires our full attention. We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your many years of loyalty, the trust you have placed in us, and your enthusiasm for our green rarities! Important information regarding the shop closure:
Our shop will remain open until September 30, 2026.
The last day to place an order is September 25, 2026. Please feel free to use this time to secure your favorite seeds one last time.
Processing: All paid orders received by September 25, 2026, will, of course, be processed, packed, and shipped reliably as usual.

Gurkenbaum, Cucumber Tree

immergrüner, kleiner, kurzstämmiger Baum bis zu 10 m mit wechselständig angeordneten, bis zu 65 cm langen, langgestielten gefiederten Blättern, bestehend aus bis zu 40 paarig angeordneten, ca. 10 cm langen, ovalen bis länglich ovalen, mittelgrünen Fiedern, meist am Ende der Zweige gruppiert. Die kleinen, duftenden, 5-petaligen rötlich violetten Blüten mit dunkel purpurfarbener Zeichnung erscheinen in kleinen Rispen direkt am Stamm und älteren, Zweigen (Kauliflorie), denen kleine, elliptisch, eiförmige, fast zylindrische, hellgrüne bis gelblich-grüne, bei Reife glänzend elfenbeinfarbige bis nahezu weißen Früchten mit geleeartigem, grünem, sehr saurem Fruchtfleisch folgen

Overwintering:	Older specimens bright at approx. 15-20°C and according to ambient temperature keep slightly moist always. Just pour with warm water! The foliage is dropped at cooler temperatures.
