immergrüner, mehrstämmiger, kleiner Strauch bis zu 3 m mit starren Zweigen im rechten Winkel zum Geäst und gegenständig angeordneten, ca. 1,5 cm langen und 0,7 cm breiten, ovalen, tiefgrünen Blättern in Gruppen entlang der Zweige. Die kleinen gelben Blüten erscheinen einzeln oder in Büscheln in den Blattachseln, aus denen sich gelbliche Früchte entwickeln
