laubabwerfender, hoher Baum bis zu 30 m mit ausladender Krone und wechselständig angeordneten bis zu 25 cm langen Blättern, bestehend aus bis zu 13 unpaarig angeordeten, bis zu 7,5 cm langen und 3,5 cm breiten, ovalen, oberseits glatten, glänzend tiefgrünen Blättchen. Die duftenden, leuchtend gelben oder orange-gelben Blüten erscheinen in bis zu 13 cm langen, verzweigten Rispen in den Blattachseln, gefolgt von großen, rundlichen Fruchtkapseln
