laubabwerfender, ausladender Strauch bis zu 3 m mit bogig überhängenden Zweigen und roter Winterrinde, gegenständig angeordneten, bis zu 10 cm langen und 6 cm breiten, ovalen bis elliptischen, oberseits tiefgrünen, unterseites helleren Blättern und gelber bis orangeroter Herbstfärbung. Die zahlreichen, weißen Blüten erscheinen in Dolden am Ende der Triebe. Aus den Blüten entwickeln sich kugelige, bei Reife weiße bis hellblaue Früchte in dichten Büscheln

Germination Temperature: ca. 18-20°C
Location: bright + keep constantly moist, not wet
Germination Time: until germination takes place
Irrigation: in the growing season regularly water
Fertilization: biweekly 0,2%ig or long-term fertilizer
Pests: Spider mites > especially under glass
Substrate: slightly acid substrate (pH 5,5 - 6,5) + sand or perlite
Culture: in the 1st year bright or dark at approx. 0-5ºC in unheated greennhouse + keep slightly moist only
Overwintering: After this time period older specimens can be planted outdoors. Container plants bright or dark at approx. 0-5ºC and just so much water that the root ball not dries out completely.
Note: Cut back to ground level, when the shoots brownisch after a few years!
