caudexbildender, laubabwerfende, niederliegende oder kletternde Pflanze mit großen, fleischigen, am Rand gezackten Blättern. Die kleinen grünlich-gelben Blüten erscheinen am Ende der Triebe in vielverzweigten, lockeren Büscheln. Aus den Blüten entwickeln sich runde, bei Reife bläulich-rote Früchte
