laubabwerfende, mehrjährige, kleine Zwiebelpflanze bis zu 5 cm mit grundständigen, langen, spiralförmig gedrehten, blau-grünen Blättern. Die strahlend gelben, becherförmigen Blüten erscheinen an einem aufrechten Blütenstand, wobei jeder Blütenstand nur je 1 Blüte entfaltet!
