immergrüner, buschiger Strauch bis zu 6 m mit gegenständig angeordneten, elliptischen bis verkehrt eiförmigen Blättern, bedeckt mit punktartigen Knötchen und kurzen flaumigen Härchen. Die weißen, cremefarbenen oder grünlichen Blüten erscheinen in Dolden am Ende der Triebe, gefolgt von fleischigen bei Reife orange-roten Beeren
