immergrüner, ausladender Ranker mit wechselständig angeordneten, 3-gelappten, tiefgrünen Blättern und gewellten Blatträndern. Die auffälligen, bis zu 2 cm großen, strahlend roten Blüten mit gelbem Basalfleck erscheinen in den Blattachseln.
