Zweifarbiger Buschklee, Bicolor Lespedeza, Shrubby Lespedeza

laubabwerfender, kleiner, ausladender Halbstrauch bis zu 3 m mit leicht behaarten Zweigen und wechselständig angeordneten Blättern, bestehend aus drei zusammengesetzten gefiederten bis zu 6 cm langen und 3,5 cm breiten, ovalen, oberseits tiefgrünen, unterseits hellgrünen, zart behaarten Blättchen. Die purpurfarbenen Blüten erscheinen in überhängenden Rispen in den Blattachseln.
Verwendung: Aus den Samen kann Öl gewonnen werden, aus den Blättern wird ein Tee zubereitet, die Zweige dienen für Flechtarbeiten und die Pflanze wird als Erosionsschutz angepflanzt.

Pests: Spider mites > especially under glass
Substrate: potting soil + sand or perlite
Culture: ca. 1 year bright or dark at about 0-5°C in unheated greenhouse + keep slightly moist only
Overwintering: After this time period older specimens can be planted outdoors. At frost the plants die back on the ground and should be covered with thick mulch. The plants sprout again from the ground in the spring.
