schnellwüchsiger, schlanker, krautiger, zweihäusiger Ranker bis zu 3 m mit gegenständig angeordneten, langgestielten, herzförmigen, sattgrünen Blättern mit ausgeprägter Nervatur und langgezogener Spitze. Die kleinen, intensiv nach Zimt duftenden, grünlich-weißen Blüten erscheinen in den Blattachseln, aus denen sich eßbare Luftknollen entwickeln
