robuster, immergrüner, verholzender Ranker bis zu 9 m mit gegenständig angeordneten, bis zu 10 cm langen und 4 cm breiten, ovalen bis länglich elliptischen, glänzend tiefgrünen Blättern und einer Ranke. Die ca. 7 cm großen, rosa bis fliederfarbenen, trompetenförmigen Blüten mit dunkelviolett und purpurfarben gezeichnetem Schlund erscheinen einzeln oder paarweise in den Blattachseln
