mehrjähriger, aufrechter, krautiger Strauch bis 1,5 m mit wechselständig angeordneten, 3- bis 5-gelappten, ahornähnlichen tief dunkel burgunderfarbenen, am Rand gesägten Blättern und Stielen. Die bis zu 10 cm großen, 5-petaligen, pinkfarbenen Blüten mit ausgeprägter Änderung und weinrotem Zentrum erscheinen in den Blattachseln. Die Farbe der Blätter wird nur bei intensiver Sonneneinstrahlung gebildet. Im Gewächshaus bleiben sie grün.

Overwintering: Ältere Exemplare hell bei ca. 5-10ºC und nur soviel gießen, daß der Wurzelballen nicht völlig austrocknet.
Note: drought and heat-heat-resistant!
