mehrjährige, immergrüne, rhizombildende Staude bis ca. 4,8 m mit langgestielten, tiefgrünen Blättern und hängenden Blütenständen an einer mandarinenroten Hauptachse (Rachis) mit zu 28 an der Basis dunkelpink bis zum Kiel, hellpink schattierten Brakteen mit grünem Saum, die die eher unscheinbaren Blüten umhüllen

Overwintering:	Mature specimens at least 15-25°C, with high humidity and the substrate is constant only slightly moist. Lower temperatures by 5°C, are only briefly tolerated.
Note:	Remove withered leaves only when they are completely brown, because the plant can still use their nutrients.
