immergrüner, kleiner Strauch bis ca. 3 m mit wechselständig angeordneten, länglich ovalen tiefgrünen Blättern und aufffälliger Nervatur. Die kleinen achselständigen, kurzgestielten weißen Einzelblüten erscheinen in den Blattachseln, gefolgt von eßbaren, bei reife gelben Früchten
